『豊穣の神』Title：Ancient Japanese Fertility Gods
雨・牛・稲・桜・鮭・柿・橙・蚕など日本の豊穣に纏わるモチーフを描く事で、神道よりも古い日本の狐信仰と神性を表現しています。
荘厳な神というよりは親しみのある愛らしい姿を描きたかった事と８という数字が縁起の良い数である事から8匹の狐達の戯れている様を描いています。
By depicting motifs associated with Japan’s abundance, such as rain, cows, rice, cherry blossoms, salmon, persimmons, oranges, and silkworms, I express the Japanese belief in foxes and their divinity, which predates Shintoism.
Rather than depicting a solemn god, I wanted to depict a familiar and lovable figure.
Since the number 8 has long been considered a lucky number in Japan, I depicted eight foxes playing together.
